Imagine joining a group where the collective goal is to provide our members with personal fulfillment, friendship and mentoring.  Imagine joining a group that is diverse, a group that provides leadership and networking opportunities regularly; a group whose mission is to help women and girls both locally and internationally and have fun doing it.   Sound good to you?  Then, consider joining us! 

Personal Satisfaction: Your active participation in our club means you will make a difference by working on fundraising and community-based projects that improve the lives of other women and girls; thereby providing you with not only personal satisfaction but collective team recognition in the Pleasanton, Dublin and Livermore community as well.

Knowledge & Personal Growth:   Life is a constant state of learning.  Through our community service and fundraising projects, you'll have the opportunity to lead, and other times be part of a team being led by others.  You'll continue to develop skills in a 'safe' environment and seek additional leadership opportunities you may want to pursue at local, regional and national levels within Soroptimist. 

Mentoring:  Role Models!  Soroptimist women are given opportunities to serve in both, formal or informal, mentoring roles throughout the community. 

Networking:  Get your elevator speech together because we encourage networking and business development.    

Convenience:  We strive to make it easy!  Soroptimist is a well organized non-profit and therefore the administration of it's core goals provides a clear set of club objectives.  How we deliver on those objectives for the benefit of the Pleasanton/Dublin community is where our leadership, creativity and team work come into play.

Services: Joining Soroptimist provides you with access to additional benefits including a variety of insurance options (in the United States only); low-interest credit card (United Sates only); and a subscription to Soroptimist International of the Americas' award-winning magazine.

Friendship:  While we are a diverse group, we share a core group of values in service to others and in having fun.  You will undoubtedly forge new friendships within our chapter, our region and beyond, some that will last a lifetime.  As a member of a worldwide organization, you are encouraged to visit other clubs locally or when travelling abroad.   Attending District, National and International Soroptimist meetings are also a great way to learn more about the organization and all it's collective contributions for the benefit of women and girls.

In Summary, being a Soroptimist means many things:
     -  YOU care about making a difference in the lives of women & children--in Pleasanton/Dublin, our Country &  
         throughout the world.
     -  YOU are willing to give of your time and talent to raise funds in service to others in Pleasanton/Dublin and beyond.
     -  YOU are a person of action--not someone who waits for others to improve the lives of those less fortunate.

Dues (Annual/Semi-Annual):
     -  Annual SI organization dues are required by all chapter members, payable by June 10th, currently $135.00 per year.
     -  Annual club dues are $100.00 which help fund our Club projects.
     -  Lunch and dinner meetings are held monthly (see calendar); food & beverage costs are not included in the dues quoted above.
